The DC trip looks to be moving over to the PRIME group as they are working through a possible trip now. Mark and I have been discussing local trips off and on. When the weather warms up, a trip to the Atlanta History Center maybe one Saturday. Also looking to possibly go to the Holocaust museum. So things will be coming up. "Just too dang cold skippy." (as Mark would say)

Well, well, well. When's the next outing? Not sure I can make the whole DC thing with another youngin' due at the end of March. Maybe something in February and closer to home?

Please pass around to those you think might be interested. Next April/2010, we are looking at our big trip being to Washington, DC. We need comments on maybe bringing wives along, how many days and which days of the week would you be willing. We figured leave on Tue, drive up, four nights, come home on Sat. Hotel looks to be $125 +taxes each night. Gas, metro card for 30-min rides into central DC, etc. Need your thoughts. Email me at primm_joe@emc.com. We also thought of the trip being to Vicksburg as well. thoughts on that welcome.

So here we go, this Saturday we leave from theC3Church parking lot at 7:00am. Its a 2-hour drive down to Columbus. The National Infantry Museum opens at 9:00am, we'll spend some time there then head over (short distance) to Port Columbus. My guess is we'll be done by early afternoon, stop somewhere to eat...just up on the left :>) (for those that remember the inside joke) and then head home. Should be back by 4 or 5pm. Okay - so what is it about history that gets us all excited? Its knowing where we came from that gives us insight into where we can go to.

Well he had a I think a 3 and 10 record when it came to Battles so take your pick. By the way one of the stops we are going to for next year's history trip is Mt. Vernon!
