Big Kidz Living the Big Life-launching August 2010!

The NEW format for KidzTribe for the 2010-2011 school year and beyond is launching August 2010!

If any of the roles below interests you, auditions will be held on July 7th. Please contact Stacey Gross at staceyg@thec3church.com for more information.

BIG Host: Biggie Emcee
Visual: Curriculum theme (Entourage-movie star, but over the top; Kingdom Tales-Knight or King)
Biggie Emcee is a character that plays off of the current curriculum series. This role is a 12-week commitment, one service. He/she acts as an emcee/host and interacts with the kids, the video and introduces all of the different portions of the event. He/she is high-energy and knows the kids. His/her goal is to keep the event moving continuously and fill any gaps with silly antics or jokes.

Big Leaders
Visual: Directors chairs, directors megaphone, clipboards
The Big Leaders serve as the producers/directors of the event. The bulk of their work is done during the week, coordinating the different portions of the lesson, making sure all cast members know the schedule and are prepared. This role is a 12-week commitment, one service. During the event, they are "behind the scenes" making sure everything flows smoothly, all portions are ready to go on schedule, and fill in as needed. They also serve as an extra set of hands to help with games or crafts, as needed.

Big Enforcers
Visual: Security tag on lanyard
The Big Enforcers are the crowd control. This is a once-a-month commitment to be filled by adults who are not comfortable in one of the more dramatic roles, but want to spend time in the classroom. They know the rules: Good hands, Good feet, Good talking, Good listening Their sole responsibility is to enforce these rules and keep the kids behaving properly. If they are doing their job, the other characters can focus on their task-at-hand.

Big Tunes
Visual: bright colors
Big Tunes sings the Big Kidz theme song plus one or two other high energy songs, with motions, with the kids. This is a one-year commitment, one or two services, 20 minutes.

Big Rev
Visual: Charismatic, energetic, moving around, using arms while telling the lesson
Big Rev brings the Bible lesson portion of the event. This is a one-year commitment, one or two services, 20 minutes.

Big Party
Visual: Bright colors, lots of "things", curly-qs, whistles and things hanging off the shirt, over- the- top
Big Party brings the activities and games portion of the event. This is a one-year commitment, one or two services, 20 minutes.

Big Crafty
Visual: An artist's smock with a tool belt filled with scissors, markers, glue, crayons, paint brushes, pencils, various art supplies-over-the-top
Big Crafty brings the craft portion of the event. This is a one-year commitment, one or two services, 20 minutes.

Big Prof (Professor)
Visual: black, round glasses, pocket protector, lots of books, pointer- over-the-top
Big Prof bring the object lesson portion of the event. This is a one-year commitment, one service, 20 minutes.

With the new year, brings new curriculum! KidzTribe is currently working through Upsidedown Town! This backwards curriculum has a new lesson each week including God Wants Me To Do My Best and God Wants Me To Listen To Him. We are deep into Genesis with conversations on Creation and The Fall. The kidz are loving our new structure and having a blast!

Kidz are rocking it out with SpyKids Jr in KidzTribe! This 8-week curriculum provides weekly memory verses as well as theme such as this week's theme: Friends Put Others First. The kidz have so much fun learning songs and playing different educational activities. Thanks to our fantastic team, our KidzTribe kidz are learning how to love God and each other!

Hi All, Wasn't sure if the word got around so I thought I'd mention it here. I've had knee surgery and I can't put weight on my leg for 4 weeks.

I know there are plenty of folks jumping in to help and all the kids are in great hands. Just know I will miss seeing them. Now that mine are grown and gone, it's a treat for me to spend and hour with them on Sundays, I really look forward to it each week.

See you all soon.

Are the children supposed to learn some verses by Sunday? If so, what are they?

King John of Niketown is a blessing to KidzTribe. It wouldn't be the same without him.

Hello everyone, just a note to say thanks for letting me be a part of a very cool group of people. I look forward to seeing the kids every week, they take me back in time, which is a good thing for an old geezer like me.

What an amazing week we had with our new Kingdom Tales on Sunday. Our Nobel Sir's and Ladies had a great time and we had some really interesting Nobel names. Can't wait for this coming Sunday when we meet again in the great land of Kingdom Tales. Don't forget to memorize your Bible Verse, bring your tithes and bibles to earn points towards the King's Treasure chest.
